It's happened...

So I guess I finally 'outgrew' the awkward stage of not looking pregnant, just fat. How do I know this? Well, NYC subway riders are not known for their chivalry. Getting a seat on the subway is an "every man for himself" mentality. Of course there are a few exceptions - the elderly, a guy trying to hit on a beautiful woman or pregnant women. I most definitely don't fall in the first category and though I'd like to think I've still 'got it' and fall into the second category, somehow I just don't think that's the case. So, the third must be true - I'm actually starting to look pregnant. Today makes two mornings in a row that a guy has offered up his seat to me. It's nice, really and I appreciate it.

Updates

So I've been slowly tackling the many-an-unfinished post I had waiting to be published (the word published makes me sound like a sophisticated author...if only it were true). Anyway, I still have a couple more to go, but see below for the published posts from previous dates and check back over the next few days for the last of them. Once those are done I'll get the med school graduation photos and the Nicholas' in NYC updates published.

Such a slacker!!

I know! It's been WAY too long since I've posted some news...I have a slew of half-way started posts that are feeling very neglected. Not that you care, but I have plenty of excuses for my lack of posting:

*Attempts to unpack my apartment (it's coming along)
*Getting my apartment to a point that it was visitor acceptable (notice I said acceptable, not perfect...it still has a long way to go)
*Having fun with Angie, Darin, Gavin, Geff and Carol
*Brett's official graduation from Penn
*Dan and Preethi's wedding in DC
*Finishing up the seminary year (it was bittersweet, but my do I love sleeping in everyday)
*Focus groups in Chicago
*Kirsten's med school graduation in Ohio
*Living it up in NYC with my parents and little sister

And of course aside from all of the fun times, I've had to keep up with work (which consisted of a week straight of very late nights last week) and the everyday chores of life. And to top it off, it's been in the high 90s for the past few days. Brutal!! Thank goodness for our small AC units in the windows!

I promise once things slow down that there will be a plethora of updates with lots of pictures! In the meantime, Brett, baby girl G and I are all doing well. We've loved having so many visitors to share our crazy life with.
