Since I've been pregnant (and therefore sick and exhausted), Sadie and I have fallen into a nice morning routine that allows me a few extra zzz's. Though she's not a huge fan of TV and rarely sits still to watch an entire show, she'll usually sit quietly for 20 or 30 minutes first thing in the morning while she enjoys a cup of milk and some Cheerios.

We enjoyed a simple Mother's Day with a picnic in Central Park before we ventured over to the pond to feed the ducks. It was a perfect day aside from the major allergies that have been attacking me. Sadie loved throwing bread to the ducks and watching them fight for it. She loved even more to snag some bites of the bread - she would laugh at herself every time she did. I love spending time with my little family and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a mother. I'm also eternally grateful to my own beautiful mother for providing me a happy home with no lacking of fun to go along with it. She has given me a wonderful example of what a mother should be. And of course I'm equally grateful for a wonderful mother-in-law. I am continually learning from both of them. Happy Mother's Day!
